Argylle DeRego, Branch Manager and Loan Officer for MLD Mortgage Inc., dba The Money Store® Hawai‘i, has known Maui as “home” for most of his life. Born in the Philippines, Argylle moved to Hawai‘i at the age of nine, growing up in Wailuku and graduating from St. Anthony High School.
In addition to spending years in the mortgage realm, Argylle has worked in the insurance and wireless telecommunications industries. With a strong drive for success and a desire to help others, he applied his passion to a career in home finance, dedicating himself to his clients and representing The Money Store® with pride. Argylle has elevated quickly in the industry due to his stellar customer relations skills and sense of integrity.
“Whether a first-time homebuyer or a long-time homeowner, when people come to me for a mortgage, I begin by listening,” Argylle explains. “I want to understand their goals and priorities so I can offer a home loan that’s right for them. We offer a wide range of loan programs, from FHA and VA to conventional and jumbo.”
Argylle has first-hand experience with the home-buying process and understands the pride of home ownership, living in Kahului with his wife Sherry and their two children, Ashten and Sasha. So he works hard to ensure his clients are comfortable throughout the financing journey, and feel confident that they’re taken care of.
“I make sure my clients know what’s happening with their mortgage as it progresses through the process. I’m there to guide them every step of the way, from application to closing and beyond,” he says. “Whether buying, refinancing or renovating, I am ready to give my clients the outstanding home loan experience they deserve.”
Outside of work, Argylle loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, working out, playing basketball, fishing, camping and savoring days at the beach.
